Surgery

You will be taken to the recovery room where the nursing staff
will attend to your comfort. Usually, after 2 hours you will be
comfortable enough to go home. If you are to be admitted, you
will be escorted to your room.
You will be discharged with a prescription for pain medications
and my contact number. I urge you to contact me or my staff for
any questions of difficulties which may arise in the ensuing days.
You probably be discharged with an ice machine and cold pack.
The nurses in the recovery room will instruct you on its use.
Use it liberally. For any questions regarding the cold pack either
contact us or refer to the directions accompanying the unit.
Upon arrival home, I highly recommend someone stay with you for
at least overnight. I encourage you to take the pain medication
as recommended.
Occasionally questions or problems arise once you are home. If
you wish to contact us dial either 718 206-6923 or 212 263-2192
and a medical professional will be available to assist you at
any time of day or night.
